The Course
Located where the River Shannon enters Lough Derg, our 18 unique golf holes flow naturally through Portumna Forest Park in County Galway. Our course is consistently ranked among the top parkland courses in Ireland and No 1 in Connacht. Famed for its warm welcome, we invite all golfers to come to play in Portumna. Host venue of the Connacht Strokeplay Championship 2018-2021, a ranking event on both the Irish and World amateur circuit and Connacht Tournament Venue of the Year 2018.
A unique challenge exists on each hole, demanding sustained levels of concentration and skill, whether playing from the front, back or more elevated tees. A truly memorable round of golf.
