Athlone Golf Club is a championship course playable all year round.

Athlone Golf Course is situated in the centre of the Ireland, in the beautiful Hodson Bay area. With the M4/M6 Motorway, Athlone Golf Club is only an hour from Dublin or Galway and is easily accessible to all!

It offers a unique opportunity to play on what is regarded as one of the most picturesque golf courses in Ireland. Our course is remarkably wet weather tolerant, due to the underlying Esker, which makes it a delight to play all year round.

We welcome all visitors to play our Lough Ree Challenge Course. Our 16th signature hole sits right on Lough Ree and our elevated Clubhouse Restaurant is the perfect location to dine after your round. The beauty of the course is that every hole is different. With its undulating fairways and stunning views of the lake, you could play it a 100 times and each time would be a different experience.

The club hosted the Golf Ireland Series of Finals in 2022 – Flogas Irish Mixed Foursomes, Fred Perry Trophy, Women’s Revive Active Fourball and the Men’s Fourball.

Athlone Golf Club is the ideal venue for Society Outings given its Central location.
